Special guest Rich de Man shows us the components of your vehicle that require checking, preparation, and maintenance for the cold winter season.

For winter preparation, check all the fluids and the following components under the hood:

• Coolant
• Windshield Washer Fluid
• Belts & hoses
• Brake Fluid
• Transmission Fluid
• Engine Oil
• Power Steering Pump (if equipped)
• Battery

Ensure that winter tires are correctly installed and properly inflated. The correct tire pressure for the vehicle can be found on the driver’s door sill. And of course. all relevant and detailed information about your vehicle and maintenance intervals can be found in the vehicle’s owner’s manual.

To protect the body of the vehicle–as Rich stated–use a high quality resin based “rub-on; rub-off” wax.

Thank you again to local handyman and Mr. Fixit, Rich de Man, for providing this quality information about preparing your vehicle for the rigours of winter.
